Objective

Children will learn the concept of Zero.This will play a major role in the math manipulation like addition,subtraction,multiplication and division.

Activity - I

To the teacher:

To teach the concept of zero, make children work in pairs.

They can work with concrete objects like building blocks kept one over the other or a board with counters.(Should not more than five).

Let the children take away block/counters one at a time and say how many are left till they are left with zero.

Real Time Example:

Group of 3 childrens are travelling in the school bus and children are getting down one by one when they reached their home.

① driver and ③ children

① driver and ② children

① driver and ① child

① driver and ⓪ children

Now, the bus is empty.There are ⓪ people in the bus.
